The War Graves of YstradgynlaisDaniel ThomasDaniel Thomas of Seven Sisters died on 13th August 1917. His wife, Ellen would outlive him by over fifty years.
From the Labour Voice newspaper, 25th August 1917:-
There was a large attendance on Saturday at the funeral of Mr Daniel Thomas of Seven Sisters who died at Cimla Sanatorium, Neath. The remains were buried at Beulah Cemetery. He was a discharged soldier and had contracted consumption from which he died. The Rev W.T. Hughes, Beulah and D.J. Davies, Ystradgynlais were the officiating ministers, and there was a large attendance of relatives of the deceased. Much sympathy is felt in the Cwm with the widow and small children to mourn their loss.
