The Jeffreys Arms, Ystradgynlais

The Jeffreys Arms, Ystradgynlais, was an old coaching inn and remained going strong as a public house into the 21st century. The Jeff, as it was known, closed in the August 2014. It was on the main Brecon Road into the town, and the road in front of it was known colloquially as "the Jeff hill".

Looking up Brecon Road, towards the Jeff Hill, where the Jeffreys Arms is on the right towards the top of the rise shown in the photograph.

The side garden of the pub has a red brick wood that abutts the pavement, but the pub itself is set back from the road, with a parking area forecourt.
